For a tandem jump you only need a 20 minute briefing before being kitted out with jumpsuit, headgear, goggles and dual harness. After boarding the aircraft it takes about 15 minutes to reach skydiving altitude 3 miles above the dropzone. You will jump harnessed to the front of your fully qualified instructor and freefall for about one minute before the instructor opens the parachute at around 5,000ft. You can even book a video and photo package to record your jump.
